How the Slimming World Diet Works

Created by Margaret Miles-Bramwell back in 1969, the Slimming World Diet aims to help people lose weight by teaching people to eat healthier meals every day. The company claims that people can eat a lot more food on their diet than others and still be able to lose weight. The trick, they say, is only eating the food that they recommend.

There are two diet plans that come with the Slimming World Diet – the Green Days plan and the Original Days plan. Green Days has dieters avoid all foods that are high in starch, such as rice and pasta. People who enjoy eating meat will be put on the Original Days plan, which includes lean meats, fruits and vegetables.

The upside of the Slimming World Diet is that it can teach people to eat healthier, but unfortunately it is an incomplete weight loss plan. Rather than teaching people how to approach weight loss, it instead gives healthy eating tips and hopes that dieters can do the rest of the hard work on their own.

Do Dieters Lose Weight on the Slimming World Diet?

The only way that dieters will be able to lose weight on the Slimming World Diet is if they have their own diet plan to combine with this program. All they will really learn is what foods to eat and which ones to avoid, but they will have to teach themselves how to portion their meals and how to exercise properly. The Slimming World Diet also lacks a meal schedule, so dieters may be confused about when they should be on “Original” days and when they should switch to “Green” days.

Level of Effort

It is not difficult to understand what the Slimming World Diet is all about, but it is very hard to understand how to approach the diet. It does have some decent tips on healthy eating, but because it doesn’t have a meal scheduler, people could potentially fill up on proteins and miss out on necessary carbs, which is actually an unhealthy way to live. The Slimming World Diet is also lacking an exercise plan, so weight loss will be greatly minimized unless dieters find another workout program to use with this diet.

The Slimming World Diet is a throwback diet in all of the wrong ways. Like the popular weight loss plans of 30 years ago, it fails to focus on each dieter individually, which means that only a small group of people will have success with the program. Just about all of the information that the Slimming World Diet makes people pay to learn about can be found all over the internet for free these days, so most dieters will want to pass on this program.
